Adele’s former trainer has spoken about working with the star (Picture: Adele, Instagram)
After first working with the Hello hitmaker to get her fit for a 2012 tour, the pair continued to train together until 2016.
Addressing the massive response to the star’s 32nd birthday post, in which she posed in a black minidress and sent the world into a right tizz at her different shape, Pete Geracimo praised Adele’s continued motivation.
He told Us Weekly the star loved ‘really getting into challenges’ and that he didn’t treat her any differently than his other clients due to her star status.
He continued: ‘I don’t get starstruck and just trained her as if she was not famous. I loved her sense of humour and we’d laugh a lot of the time.’
The trainer added: ‘As she warmed to the idea of training, she started getting competitive and this created the momentum to wanting to improve her performance from session to session.’

Speaking about how he ‘kept things real’ with the star as they trained for one hour, three times a week, he said: ‘When we had low days, I would alter the workout so that it would ease her into training, get her mind off of what was bugging her and then, before you knew it, we were having a good session and working hard.’
Pete previously addressed Adele’s weight loss after she posted earlier this month, insisting she never got into working out to be ‘super skinny’.
Addressing the reaction to her new look, the singer’s former London-based trainer wrote in an Instagram post: ‘It’s disheartening to read negative commentary and fat-phobic accusations questioning the genuineness of her amazing weight loss.
‘In my personal experience of working with her through many highs and lows, she always marched to the beat of her own drum on her own terms.’
Pete applauded the Someone Like You singer for always relying on her talent to sell records rather than ‘expose her flesh’ or revert to being an ‘over the top sexy vixen’.
The trainer continued: ‘When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy.

Sarah Paulson is more than happy with the Adele comparisons: 'I'll take it'
‘Especially post pregnancy and post surgery. When 25 [album] dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month gruelling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices.
‘As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet. The attention it generated was mind-blowing.’
He added: ‘This personal transformation has nothing to do with me or you. It’s about Adele and how she wants to live her life.’
