As Francis Ngannou takes on Tyson Fury in the ring how much money could he earn from his professional boxing debut?
It's set to be an epic bout.
The bout will see Ngannou make his professional boxing debut, with the fight materialising after the Gypsy King failed to agree a undisputed world heavyweight meeting with Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury is the odds-on favourite to win the bout – with current odds suggesting he is 1/14 to walk away the victory.
But whoever takes top honours, one thing is certain – both fighters stand to earn a significant payday for taking part.
Just how much does Francis Ngannou stand to earn?
Here’s what you need to know…
How much money will Francis Ngannou earn from Tyson Fury fight?
While the purses for the event are not disclosed, Tyson Fury has claimed that Ngannou will walk away from the fight $10m (£8.2m) richer.
Speaking ahead of the bout he said: ‘Everyone said he was an idiot for walking away from the UFC and now all of a sudden he’s a genius, isn’t he?
‘Guy’s about to make $10 million. Come on! Egg in their face! Francis is going to make that bag. Rich!’
Meanwhile, it’s been suggested that Fury could come away with an even larger payday, with Derek Chisora claiming the heavyweight will pocket $50 million (£39m) for competing.
Those sums are not believed to factor in sponsorships, however – so the total earnings from the fight could be even higher.
