Opps…she did it again, indeed.
In fact, this marks the third time (that we know of) that our mate Britney has set fire to her house. With candles.
Revealing she’d been forced to work out sans gym for six months, Britney said on social media on Wednesday: ‘I’m in my gym right now. I haven’t been in here for like 6 months because I burnt my gym down, unfortunately.
‘I had two candles, and, yeah, one thing led to another and I burnt it down.’
She continued in the caption, saying she only had two pieces of equipment left after the blaze: ‘I walked past the door to the gym and flames BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt.
‘Unfortunately now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym!!!!! But it could be much worse so I’m grateful. Pssss I like working out better outside anyways. (sic).’
‘One thing led to another.’ We love you, Britney, but you have clearly not learnt from the past.
The star has professed her love of vanilla candles – which fans have dredged up on Twitter, of course – but we may need to seek an alternative scentmaker.
Turns out, according to multiple reports, in 2002, her mum Lynne Spears had written a blog entry on BritneySpears.com (ah, remember blogs?) reporting that Britney set fire to her New York apartment.
She wrote: ‘Britney went to New York for four days. She and Jenny, her friend, shopped every day.
‘One of those nights, they all came in to a real mess. Brit left a candle burning. The wall caught fire and the fire department had to put it out. Brit has really learned a lesson this time…’
No…no she hasn’t!
Things were not helped when Lynne also recalled a time when mother-of-two Britney lit up her bathroom in their family home in Louisiana back in the day, thanks to another rogue candle.

Three makes a trend and it very much seems we need to be express ship Britney some of those fake candles restaurants love, that your dad probably tricked you into believing was burning his hand when you were a kid.
