Hilary Duff addressed the ‘disgusting’ claims on Twitter (Picture: Invision)
Hilary Duff has spoken out after a vile post accusing her of child trafficking went viral on Twitter.
A thread, which has since been deleted, went viral on the social media site, baselessly accusing Hilary of trying to sell her child.
The ridiculous posts had claimed that Hilary posted photos of her eight-year-old son Luca in which he was ‘completely nude’ with ‘white markings all over his body’.
They also made false claims that her ex-husband Mike Comrie had been trying to get custody of the child for years.
Hilary took to her own Twitter account on Saturday to hit back at the troll who had fabricated the malicious tweets.
She posted: ‘Everyone bored af right now I know..but this is actually disgusting….. whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone. Maybe get a hobby’.

Hilary and her ex-husband share Luca, and she also has a one-year-old daughter, Banks, with her husband Matthew Koma.
The false claims had been posted after Hilary shared a clip of her son on her Instagram story, in which she had covered his body parts with a ‘sticker’ on the app.
Her rep had also addressed the claims to E!, saying in a statement: ‘Let me say this in the strongest terms, this is all a fabricated disgusting internet lie, created and perpetuated by trolls and idiots.
‘Hilary’s own post this morning is all that needs to be said on the matter. Everyone who knows Hilary is fully aware what an amazing mom she is and that requires no further comment.
