LeBron James has only gone and confirmed the full title of the long-awaited Space Jam sequel.
The basketball legend revealed the animation is called Space Jam: A New Legacy (rolls off the tongue, that does).
The LA Lakers star shared the update on Instagram, posting a short video of him wearing a cap bearing the film’s title.
‘2021,’ our man wrote simply in the caption.
A New Legacy is a sequel to 1996 classic Space Jam, which starred basketball great Michael Jordan as well as a host of other NBA stars.

It also featured our faves from the Looney Tunes gang, like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Taz, and told the story of how Jordan spent the years following his initial retirement from the NBA in 1993.
In Space Jam, he joins the Looney Tunes to help them win a basketball match against a bunch of pesky aliens.
The film racked up a cool $230 million worldwide and made R Kelly’s track for the movie, I Believe I Can Fly, a smash hit.
Some gloom merchants weren’t too keen for LeBron to be the basketball star of the sequel and wanted the late Kobe Bryant to be cast instead.
Although, LeBron has already proved his acting chops in Amy Schumer’s comedy Trainwreck, so you know, everyone can just bore off.

LeBron told the Road Trippin’ podcast last month that production on the motion picture has ‘slowed down’ but it’s still going.
‘A lot of it right now is animation, so being indoors is actually great for us,’he said.
‘So we’re still on. Just like everything in the world, everything is slowed down a little bit, but we’re still on target. I’m looking forward to it.’
