Normal People’s Paul Mescal wished Daisy Edgar-Jones happy birthday (Picture: BBC)
The actor, who played Connell in the BBC series, took to Instagram to share snaps of him and Daisy on set.
All the pictures were black-and-white, with the first post showed Daisy sitting on a doorstep laughing away.
‘Happy birthday to this LEGEND,’ he wrote. ‘@daisyedgarjones you are one of a kind. Have the best day ever ❤️’
And it looks like fan took the opportunity to ask for another season instead of wishing her a good day.
To be fair, we need a season two.

‘We need a series 2 please 😍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼❤️,’ one person commented.
Another couldn’t handle how cute the two are: ‘Omg my heart 💗 you guys are precious.’
Many also used the post to tell Paul to marry his co-star – who played his love interest Marianne.

It looks like the pleas for another season of Normal People might work as Paul recently teased us with the prospect of it.
Speaking to Wonderland, the 24-year-old actor admitted that a second series of the show isn’t as impossible as it seems.
‘Oh, there’s no question that character to me is still alive and breathing and very much has a lot of life left to live,’ he explained.
