The Walking Dead’s Lennie James has shut down rumours that there’ll be a Fear The Walking Dead crossover.

It was recently speculated that bosses of the franchise had planned to bring the two shows together, seeing some of the characters in Fear enter the main series.

However, it turns out Lennie, who plays Morgan in the zombie hit, is yet to know anything about the reports that stirred up the fanbase.

When chatting to Digital Spy about the potential plot lines crossing paths, the 54-year-old said: ‘Is it something I would like to do? Possibly, yeah. I don’t quite see how it happens.

‘But there’s been lots of things about The Walking Dead and Fear where I’ve not seen how it was going to happen and then it happened.’

He added: ‘So I’m not necessarily the source of information as far as that’s concerned.’

However, don’t lose hope just yet, as the actor did press on: ‘I will say that I haven’t heard that rumour. But again, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true or not true.’

It comes after We Got This Covered said: ‘The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead are going to be coming together for a major event in the near future.’

Sources told the publication that Lennie’s character would bring his friends from Fear to meet the original group at Alexandria.

They added the crossover ‘is most probably going to take up an episode of The Walking Dead season 11.’

This isn’t the first time crossovers have been mentioned, as in April last year, it was thought that Fear would play some part in the Rick Grimes movies.

When chatting on the Talk Dead To Me podcast, showrunner Scott Gimple said: ‘

But what I will say is Fear The Walking Dead is coming up in June, and there is a story in the first half of the season that has to do with one of these greater stories of the universe that will bring in some of the things that all of you guys have seen before, and it will expand it out just a little bit more, and then we’ll have an announcement.’

We guess we’ll just have to wait and see what bosses have up their sleeves.

The Walking Dead season 10 finale is set to drop on AMC and NOW TV later this year.
