FaZe Adapt has been banned from Twitch for sharing sexually suggestive content, but he claims he’s innocent.
It sometimes seems like Twitch can’t go a week without banning a popular content creator from its platform. Only last week, streamer Alinity was temporarily banned for accidentally exposing herself live.
Yesterday, FaZe Adapt (real name: Alexander Hamilton – no, not that one), streamer and one of the owners of the esports team FaZe, found himself unable to go live on Twitch.
He had been given a three-day suspension for violating Twitch’s guidelines, specifically for ‘sharing or engaging in sexually suggestive content or activities.’
Under normal circumstances, this would be completely fair but Adapt is baffled by the ban because he didn’t do anything that could be warranted as inappropriate.

‘I definitely never showed anything sexual like that unless I’m just completely clueless and have no idea what I’m saying,’ he wrote on Twitter.
He’s not the only one, as his fans are as perplexed as he is. As of writing, nobody can come up with an explanation as to what Twitch deemed to be a justification for banning him.
Adapt had been building up his fanbase on Twitch over the last month, with now over 130,000 followers on his channel. But with his frustration at Twitch’s decision, he could potentially jump ship to a rival platform, possibly even to YouTube, where he has more than six million subscribers.

When is the 2020 May bank holiday and why has it changed?
Twitch has a reputation for how inconsistent it is when it comes to banning users, like the aforementioned Alinity incident.
While she was banned, it was only for a day, which she personally chose to extend to three days.
Still, this doesn’t seem to be affecting Twitch all that much, as it still has plenty of devoted and very popular streamers who have signed exclusivity contracts, like Dr. Disrespect.
