The Germans value him at around £25m, though he would need to take a significant paycut to secure a move to the Allianz Arena. Raphael Varane’s relationship with Erik ten Hag has ‘broken down’ after a ‘frank’ exchange between the pair following the Dutchman’s decision to leave the defender out for the Manchester derby.

Despite injury to Lisandro Martinez this season, Varane has lost his spot as a regular starter.
