Erling Haaland has indicated that he will be fit for Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

The 23-year-old suffered an ankle injury during the international break with Norway and was forced to withdraw from the national side last Saturday.

Pep Guardiola revealed on Friday that Haaland had trained ‘with some niggles’ on Thursday and would assess the striker later that day before making a final decision.

However, Haaland appears to have emerged from City’s final training session unscathed as he posted a picture on social media with the ball at his feet alongside the caption: ‘See you tomorrow’.

City are due to host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in Saturday’s 12:30pm kick-off.

City currently sit top of the Premier League with 28 points from 12 games, while Liverpool are a point behind in second place.

Both sides have registered three wins and a draw in their last four Premier League games.

‘We have a lot of space in behind and they have incredible runs with [Luis] Diaz, with Darwin Nunez, with [Mohamed] Salah of course, and now with [Dominik] Szoboszlai and [Ryan] Gravenberch,’ Guardiola said.

‘For them [it’s] good because of the transitions.

‘They are a fantastic team, fantastic legs. A top side, no doubt.’
