George Clarke has revealed that the brand new series of his show George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces could be split in two because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The presenter explained that filming on the season had to be stopped due to lockdown measures, meaning that only half of the upcoming show has been recorded.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk last month, George disclosed: ‘We were meant to be doing eight episodes but all the builds have stopped.
‘A lot of people cant get materials and so a lot of people aren’t physically able to finish their builds even though they’re small scale projects. There’s going to be a pause.
‘Channel 4 might put the first couple of episodes out in the next few months, we don’t know yet. They might put the first four episodes out.

‘Unfortunately there then might be a little break and then the next four episodes will come out sometime early autumn. It is a real shame to split the series, but it is really exciting.’

He added: ‘Obviously we’ll just have to see what happens with lockdown.
‘Provisionally we’re hoping that if things do change, we might be able to start building again July or August time.’
Although filming for the upcoming series is on pause, George has constructed his very own sound booth in his home so he can record the voiceovers for the episodes that have already been shot.
