Hundreds of children take to the streets of London to call for ceasefire in Gaza- latest
Four shadow ministers have resigned in protest.

Hundreds of people have gathered outside the office of Labour MP Rushinara Ali this evening to protest her failure to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
It comes as hundreds of schoolchildren took to the streets of London earlier today to denounce the violence in Palestine, ahead of a wave of school strikes set to take place in cities throughout the country tomorrow.
A total of 56 Labour MP’s defied Keir Starmer to vote for a ceasefire in the Commons last ‘night, prompting a string of resignations from the opposition frontbench.
‘I am here to express shock and anger that Rushanara Ali has gone against the wishes of her constituents and of the Palestine movement and did not vote for the amendment in parliament last night,’ said one of the protesters in Bethnal Green tonight.
‘She has shown that her career is more important to her than the human rights of millions of people in Gaza.’
Earlier today, the Met said ‘no laws’ had been broken when pro-Palestinian protesters climbed on the Royal Artillery Memorial in London on Wednesday evening.
