Nick Cordero’s wife Amanda Kloots has admitted he has ‘defied the odds’ in his battle against coronavirus as she shared an update on his condition.
The Broadway star has been battling the virus in intensive care, with his wife keeping fans updated and sharing messages of hope.
She said: ‘They saw some success with proning Nick, so they are going to continue doing that with him…they are seeing some improvements with his oxygen and gas exchange rates, so that was really good and really promising.
‘They also have started some new antibiotics and they also started a high dose of Vitamin C to start working on his immune system.
‘All these little things seem to be slowly helping and we’re just keeping our fingers crossed that these things will continue to see some improvements.’

‘My husband, he is a fighter. He is fighting so hard.’
She added: ‘He has defied the odds, you guys. Nick has literally defied odds and I think there’s something to that. You don’t go through all of this to not make it through all of this.’
Nick, 41, has been in intensive care since 30 March when he tested positive for Covid-19. He then had to have a leg amputated after suffering a life-threatening blood clot.
The latest update came after Amanda explained on Monday (25 May): ‘Nick is doing slightly better than yesterday. He is still very sick and battling a lot.
‘They turned him to a proning position today to open his airways. He has had this before and it helped a lot. They also cleaned his lungs out again to help fight the infection.’

Amanda then clarified: ‘He is and has been COVID negative now for weeks. What he is and has been dealing with is the fail out [sic] from the virus and from infections that arise from being in the ICU as long as he has.
‘Please keep your prayers coming.’
