Rescuers in Gaza pulled a newborn baby from the rubble of a mosque razed during Israeli airstrikes on the besieged Palestinian enclave.
Under intense bombardment, the boy, who is believed to be a day or two old, was rushed to Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in the Strip.
A healthcare worker was seen carrying the baby, wrapped tightly in a white cloth, not long after being found by first responders in the early hours of Tuesday.

Footage by Sky News showed the child suckling on his tiny fingers out of hunger, with his eyes still closed.
‘He was found by the driver of an ambulance this mourning, near a mosque where there were bombardments yesterday,’ a doctor at Al-Shifa said.
‘We do not know whether his family is alive or not. Now, the baby is in the hands of Dr Nasser Bulbul, Head of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).’
His family’s whereabouts, or if they are alive or dead, remain unknown – the same situation for many other children in the enclave.
