There’s nothing like a Facebook freshen up to really get The Wanted fans going in coronavirus lockdown.
The boyband – made up of Tom Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes – sparked speculation that they could be planning a comeback on Thursday and Twitter went wild for it.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that The Wanted’s official Facebook page gave itself a revamp by changing its profile picture and its cover photo.
Nothing has happened on the page for a whole six years, with one fan pointing out the last activity was back in 2014.
There hasn’t been any official confirmation of a comeback, but a Facebook facelift was all it took for fans to cling on to every help.
And given that the band first formed in 2009 – over a decade ago – a reunion is say, well and truly, overdue, no?

Taking to Twitter in their droves, fans pretty much lost it as they speculated whether said FB changes are a secret sign that a reunion is on upon us.
One pretty excited fan was crying for answers: ‘OMGGG THE WANTED UPDATED THEIR FACEBOOK WHAT IS GOING OOON??!?!?’
While another was prepared for such an occasion, revealing: ‘Does The Wanted updating their Facebook page mean I’m gonna have to start digging out all my old merch? Because I am READY.’
Hey, I know you have a lot of questions about pesto, send any of them to my replies here and I will try my best to help you all.— Jay McGuiness (@JayMcGuiness) April 30, 2020
They weren’t getting any joy from the boys, though, with Jay decided to spend all his time tweeting about pesto instead. He teased amid the frenzy: ‘Hey, I know you have a lot of questions about pesto, send any of them to my replies here and I will try my best to help you all.’
Although, he did suggest he’s well aware of the reunion speculation by re-tweeting one fan’s reply to his pesto tweet that read: ‘TOP PLAYING DUMB YOU B**TARD!’ alongside a GIF of someone throwing a chair out the window.
The Wanted, managed by Scooter Braun, confirmed their split back in 2014, with singer Max claiming it was the band’s personal lives that drove them apart.
