Also, antacids can calm stomach acid and help reverse an upset stomach. They also can relieve nausea, heartburn, and indigestion, all of which are symptoms of drinking.
Water, Water, Water
Dehydration is one of the major causes of drinking alcohol so drinking enough afterward can help boost your body and relieve your symptoms. Even drinking a glass of water in between drinks can go a long way with preventing a hangover. You can also drink sports drinks that have electrolytes to help rehydrate the body.
Oxidative stress occurs when the body produces free radicals, after drinking alcohol. To help with this, you may want to use antioxidants, which are contained in many different foods. These types of foods include berries, cherries, grapes, spinach, ginger, dark chocolate, and various nuts and seeds.
Coffee Or Tea
Caffeinated drinks are stimulants that can help reverse the fatigue caused by a hangover. Green tea, black tea, or coffee are great options to help with negative symptoms. Unfortunately, these drinks are diuretics, meaning they produce urine and can lead to even more dehydration.
Unfortunately, as much as we love drinking and wish we could avoid hangovers all together, this isn’t easily achieved. While these remedies can be extremely beneficial there is no actual cure for a hangover. In addition to these tips, you should also drink in moderation and make sure to get enough rest and water throughout the night!
