Where do you know the cast of Hollywood from? (Picture: Netflix)
Director Ryan Murphy has returned with another intense series, Hollywood, starring many familiar faces and and a moving plot line.
The Netflix series, which dropped on 1 May, is a piece of revisionist history which shows what Hollywood could have been if it had been a little bit more open-minded back in the day.
Known for Glee, American Horror Story and Pose, it was no surprise that Murphy would provide a show that would make us cry and laugh all at once.
And for those who know of the director’s work, Ryan is a big fan of using cast members from his other shows, and this one’s no different.
The Big Band Theory’s Jim Parsons plays an incredibly unlikeable character alongside the one and only Holland Taylor and Patti LuPone.

Darren Criss has been a long-time favourite of Ryan, starring as half-Filipino aspiring film director Raymond Ainsley who hopes to break boundaries in the Hollywood film industry.
The star is most obviously familiar from Glee, on which he portrayed Blaine Anderson, great singer and partner of Kurt (Chris Colfer).
His next Ryan-related role was the Hotel season of American Horror Story, on which he appeared for two episodes as Justin in 2015.
He then came back for American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace as Andrew Cunanan, the man who murdered the fashion designer in 1997.

From then, she went straight to play Patrice Dumas in BlacKkKlansman, a movie following the first Black detective in Colorado Springs’ police department as he set out to infiltrate and expose the local Ku Klux Klan chapter.
The 30-year-old has also modelled for campaigns with companies such as Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, Target, ALDO, Steve Madden, Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton.

His big break came with Netflix’s The Politician, where he plays River Barkley.
The show concerns an ambitious student Payton Hobart who runs for student body president against the popular and athletic River.

Umm, Dylan McDermott actually plays gas station owner (and pimp) Ernest West and they did a great job on making him look older.
The actor was the shining star in the first season of American Horror Story as Dr Ben Harmon and came back for AHS: 1984 as Bruce and AHS: Asylum as Johnny Morgan.
Dylan and David already know each other from their time on The Politician before rejoining for the new Netflix series.
He also starred in shows such as Hostages, Stalker, LA To Vegas and The Practice.
