Rio Ferdinand has fired a dig at Mikel Arteta after the Arsenal manager met up with Salt Bae during his side’s training camp in Dubai this month.

Arteta took his Arsenal players on a warm-weather break during the Premier League’s winter hiatus and took the opportunity to dine at the Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi.

However, Arteta was subjected to another cringeworthy video involving Salt Bae as the Arsenal manager allowed the Turkish chef to dangle a piece of meat in his mouth.

Arteta faced criticism from some Arsenal supporters after the video circulated on social media, with one even posting: ‘Yeah we aren’t winning anything with this guy in charge.’

And Ferdinand, who even had Salt Bae at his own wedding, claims a Manchester United manager, or Pep Guardiola, would not agree to be part of a similar video.

‘He [Salt Bae] was feeding some of the guests at my wedding like that,’ Ferdinand revealed on Vibe With Five.

‘If I’m paying for that he ain’t feeding me nothing, not having it, but he was going around some of the guests doing that.

‘A Man United manager ain’t doing that, only an Arsenal manager would do that type of stupidness.

‘Pep [Guardiola] ain’t doing that.’

After the World Cup in Qatar, FIFA launched an investigation into how Salt Bae – real name Nusret Gokce – was allowed onto the pitch to celebrate with Argentina’s players after they beat France in the final.

Salt Bae posed for photos alongside several Argentina players, including Lionel Messi, and was even seen holding the World Cup trophy.
