Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Antoine Semenyo is set to make his return for Bournemouth’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, who has scored seven Premier League goals this season, missed the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last Saturday due to a calf injury.

However, Semenyo has returned to training and is expected to be named in Bournemouth’s matchday squad for their trip to Villa Park this weekend.

‘We will recover Antoine Semenyo, he will be part of the squad if everything goes well tomorrow in training,’ Iraola said on Friday.

‘That’s it. We are losing Sini [Sinisterra] from the other day. He is obviously injured and we don’t expect any more changes.’

Speaking further on Luis Sinisterra’s hamstring injury, Iraola believes the Colombia international may miss Bournemouth’s remaining six games this season.

‘It’s going to be difficult,’ Iraola said.

‘It’s a strain so it’s going to be really tight, I don’t know if he will be recovered to play the last game but it’s going to be difficult because the normal time is three or four weeks.

‘These kinds of injuries take time and I’m sure he will try; he will be ready for his national team if they consider him but it’s going to be difficult for him to play this season.’

Marcus Tavernier is also set to miss Bournemouth’s clash against Villa.

‘I’m more optimistic with Marcus because the injury was before, with one week it gives you some more chance but definitely he’s not going to be involved this week,’ Iraola said.

‘We will try to play with him but it also has to be the finals games of the season.’
