At least five people have been killed after an out-of-control car crashed into a beer garden.

Several people are believed to have been seriously injured after the crash at the Royal Hotel at Daylesford, north west of Melbourne, Australia, at 6pm local time on Sunday.

Four air ambulances as well as police and multiple ambulance crews rushed to the scene, MailOnline reports.

A six-year-old boy and a teenage girl are among those killed in the crash.

Victoria Police confirmed the crash on social media on Sunday evening.

A spokesman for the force said: ‘Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in Daylesford.

‘Police have been to [the scene of an accident where] a car crashed into the beer garden of a pub on Vincent Street about 6.05pm.

‘A number of people have been injured and five people are deceased.’
