Former President Barack Obama has been spotted at Downing Street, where he is expected to have a private meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The former commander in chief was spotted waving to reporters before disappearing inside of No.10.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: ‘Obama was making an informal courtesy drop-in as part of his trip to London, where he is conducting work of the Obama Foundation.

‘I think President Obama’s team made contact and obviously the Prime Minister was very happy to meet with him and discuss the work of the Obama Foundation.’

Obama served two terms in the White House, from 2009 to 2017, before he was replaced by Trump.

He was last in Downing Street in 2016, when he visited then Prime Minister David Cameron for talks ahead of a Brexit vote.
