British crew member dies after being ‘electrocuted’ on luxury yacht

The pleasure yacht Baton Rouge was docked at the southern town of English Harbour last Friday when it suffered a power outage. Roy Temme, 47, the chief engineer, was found unresponsive by a crew member at around 8.30am last Friday, according to local media. A British man has died after being electrocuted while fixing a power outage on a yacht in the Caribbean island of Antigua.

The pleasure yacht Baton Rouge was docked at the southern town of English Harbour last Friday when it suffered a power outage.

Roy Temme, 47, the chief engineer, was found unresponsive by a crew member at around 8.30am last Friday, according to local media.

A FCDO spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘I can confirm that we are supporting the family of a British National who has died in Antigua.’
