Josh Kroenke makes promise to Arsenal fans and reveals biggest project

Josh Kroenke reveals that Arsenal are his family’s biggest project and has promised fans that they will remain as the club’s owners for the long-term.
Kroenke was appointed as Arsenal’s majority shareholder as a non-executive director back in 2013 and the American has faced plenty of criticism in the role.
The most controversial incident came in 2021 when Arsenal tried to join the European Super League, with supporters calling for the Kroenke family to leave.
The Kroenke family were forced to release a statement – insisting they would not sell the club – and fans have been more supportive of their ownership since Mikel Arteta turned the Gunners into genuine Premier League title contenders.
Kroenke has now given a new interview in which he describes Arsenal as the family’s ‘really big’ project and has vowed they won’t be selling any time soon.
‘We were a real estate family that fell into sports due to our love of it,’ Kroenke told Curious Mike on YouTube.
‘It’s morphed into what we have now – Los Angeles Rams, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids. The really big one is over in London. We have Arsenal Football Club.
‘We’ve been pretty committed. We’re long-term holders in everything we do. My father’s philosophy, and it’s the same with me as well, whenever you invest in something, if you’re trying to short buck… that’s not our strategy.
‘We want to invest in something that makes sense for us over the long-term.’
Asked to describe his purpose, Kroenke added: ‘I really enjoy getting to know people and trying to get the most out of them.
‘My college coach always said I’d make a great basketball coach because I loved the game but I also really loved trying to get the most out of my teammates.
‘That plays out across my life in numerous areas – whether it’s the Nuggets, Rams or Arsenal.’
Speaking in 2022, Kroenke admitted it was difficult to ‘truly relate’ to the passion that Arsenal supporters have for the club.
