Manchester United will remain without a number of key players for their FA Cup semi-final showdown against Coventry City on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag’s side head to Wembley to try and keep their season alive with hopes of Champions League qualification almost dead following last Saturday’s draw at Bournemouth.

Antony missed that trip to the south coast with United this week denying rumours that absence had stemmed from a falling out with ten Hag.

The club have said the Brazil international missed out with a minor injury with Antony pictured back in training on Tuesday.

Alejandro Garnacho, hauled off at half-time in that 2-2 draw, was also pictured at Carrington after his post-match social media activity following that game came under the spotlight.

The incident is thought to have been dealt with internally with ten Hag believed to have addressed the matter with his player personally.

Scott McTominay has missed United’s last two games with a knee injury suffered in the defeat to Chelsea.

The Scotland international was close to making the squad last weekend and could be in contention to make the trip to the capital.

United’s injury problems at the back remain however with Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane all unavailable.

Jonny Evans joined that injury list last weekend with what the club described as a ‘short-term’ muscle injury.

A shortage of options is likely to see Willy Kambwala handed another start alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of defence. The 19-year-old has started United’s last two games.

Maguire meanwhile was not seen in training pictures released on Tuesday but his absence was reportedly a precautionary measure and is expected to be available this weekend.

Manchester United 4-2-3-1 lineup to face Coventry

With Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka the only fit full-backs in the squad, Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye have been named in matchday squads in recent weeks with Ethan Wheatley joining them on the bench against Bournemouth.

The striker recently netted a hat-trick for the Under-18s in the 9-1 thrashing of Liverpool and with Anthony Martial still sidelined, could potentially be in line for some first-team minutes before the season is out.

Amass, Ogunneye and Wheatley all continued to train with the first-team this week ahead of Sunday’s trip to Wembley.
