Martin Keown warns Arsenal defenders over Harry Kane threat ahead of Champions League test

Martin Keown fears Harry Kane will be ‘licking his lips’ ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter final against Arsenal.
The England captain has enjoyed a stellar debut campaign for the German giants, amassing 37 goals in all competitions and is closing in on Robert Lewandowski’s single season record.
Kane has feasted on Arsenal defences in the past and no body has scored more goals in the history of the north London derby as a result of his exploits with Tottenham.
Arsenal’s current centre-half partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes rank as one of Europe’s strongest and although they helped keep another clean sheet against Porto in midweek, they endured several nervy moments, as noted by Keown.
‘It’s about Arsenal, can they beat Bayern?’ Keown told the BBC when asked to assess the draw for the latter stages of Europe’s elite competition. ‘You look at Harry Kane, the number of goals.
‘He’s scored a whole lot of goals against Arsenal and he might be licking his lips at this one I think that sets-up for a fantastic opportunity.
‘It’s just great now for Arsenal to be back talking about Champions League quarter finals. It’s a quite remarkable turnaround from an Arsenal point of view.
‘Let’s be respectful. Harry Kane is in incredible form right now so the Arsenal central defenders… you were there the other night.’
Kane is not the only former Spurs star among Bayern’s ranks these days with Eric Dier currently on loan having been deemed surplus to requirements by Ange Postecoglou.
‘It is of course special for me to return to England for a game so quickly after my arrival at FC Bayern – and then to North London of all places,’ said Dier.
‘It is a great opportunity for us to show our quality at the highest level. Arsenal have a young team that is performing very well.’
