Martin Odegaard spotted in Arsenal training ahead of Bayern Munich showdown
The captain was taken off during the closing stages of Sunday's defeat against Aston Villa.
Martin Odegaard appears to have given Arsenal a major boost ahead of their Champions League showdown against Bayern Munich after he was spotted in training on Tuesday morning.
Mikel Arteta put his squad through their paces at their London Colney training ground ahead of their flight to Germany later this afternoon.
The quarter final tie is intriguingly poised after Leandro Trossard’s equalsier ensured a 2-2 draw last week and with away goals no longer a factor, Arsenal will still fancy their chances of progression.
Arteta, however, must raise spirits following Sunday’s devastating defeat against Aston Villa that saw Manchester City taking full control of the Premier League title race.
Odegaard was substituted during the closing stages against Villa with his side desperately searching for a goal that would have broken the deadlock.
Arteta refused to elaborate on the reason for withdrawing his captain and was willing only to reveal he had ‘a leg issue’.
