One of the poshest fights ever breaks out on hospitality balcony at Abu Dhabi F1

A party celebrating the result of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix descended into chaos as drunk F1 fans started fighting.

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen was named Formula One World Champion after his 19th win of the season – but celebrations at the Yas Marina Circuit turned violent.

Security staff had to intervene as groups of people began to fight at an exclusive event held on a balcony overlooking the course, decked out with Red Bull parasols.

Groups of fans, some of whom are believed to be British, were hitting each other with bottles of prosecco and climbing over furniture to attack each other.

A number of videos capturing the chaotic scenes were uploaded to social media, meaning it is unclear whether there were several smaller fights or one larger brawl.

An X user, who shared footage from the event, said: ‘Can’t take the British no where can ye’.

At the beginning of one clip, a woman is seen yelling at a group of men who were trying to get past her, separated only by a member of security staff.

Another woman puts her arm around one man’s neck as she desperately tries to pull him back and stop him from getting involved.

One man can be seen scrambling over the white couches to punch another before he is pulled back. A man in a white t-shirt then comes back to hit him.

As the violence escalates, a few of the men turn to using bottles of beer and wine as weapons.

One lobs what appears to be a champagne or prosecco bottle straight at another man, while others can be seen running around also dangerously brandishing large bottles.

As security tries to hold some of the men back, red VIP cordons are knocked to the floor.

The few staff that can be seen trying to stop the brawl from worsening quickly become outnumbered.

The DJ can be heard telling gathered crowds ‘let’s go’ as he performed for the race weekend, before he suddenly realises things had turned sour.

He starts to sound increasingly worried as the aggression ramps up, urging security to go over to the table and deal with the wild behaviour.
