A woman has died after a Christmas tree fell onto her at a festive market.
The 63-year-old was cycling through Oudenaarde in Belgium when a 66ft tall tree was blown over during windy weather.
The tree landed directly on top of the woman, who is from the Oudenaarde area, and two other women were left with minor injuries.
CCTV footage from the scene shows the huge tree starting to lean to one side before it toppled over.
Prosecutors in the town east of Brussels are now investigating the incident.
A spokesman said: ‘The investigation will focus on whether the tree had been properly secured and will also look at the impact of the weather.’
