The World Snooker Championship draw has been made, with the world’s top 16 discovering which qualifier they will take on in the opening round at The Crucible.

Among many highlights of a superb draw, world champion Luca Brecel begins his campaign against Dave Gilbert on Saturday morning, with Judd Trump taking on Hossein Vafaei later that day.

Tournament favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan meets Welsh youngster Jackson Page, while Mark Williams vs Si Jiahui is another cracking contest.

Ding Junhui playing Jack Lisowski in the opening round is a huge tie, while Ali Carter taking on Stephen Maguire is also sure to be a high quality affair.
