A bride died at her own wedding after dancing too close to a swimming pool.

Elisangela Gazano, 38, lost her balance dancing and fell into the water at a rented country house in Limeira, Brazil on Sunday.

Partygoers tried to rescue the mum-of-five but she went into cardiac arrest and declared dead upon arriving at hospital.

Just hours earlier Elisangela had posted a photo on social media, showing her signing paperwork in a white wedding dress after tying the knot with her partner.

Friend Flavia Silva paid tribute on social media, writing: ‘I met you over the last few days in the market and you were so happy that you were going to get married.

‘Look how fate is a dream being fulfilled and on the same day without knowing that there would be a goodbye that there would be your departure.’

Elisangela’s funeral is due to take place this afternoon.

In March wedding guests had to run for their lives after flames tore through an exclusive venue, leaving five people hospitalised.

The incident report was registered as an accidental death at the Limeira Police Station.

The blaze spread rapidly, jumping from tablecloths to fake plants at the Hacienda Los Arcángeles in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Roughly 850 people were at the upmarket venue when the fire started, and five people, including the wedding DJ, were taken to hospital with burns.

In October 2022, a groom was shot dead at his own wedding ‘by mistake’ leaving his devastated bride covered in his blood.

Marco Antonio, 32, was gunned down while walking to the wedding car after the ceremony at a church in Caborca, Mexico.

It is believed the IT engineer was wrongly targeted by warring cartel gangs in the city.
